The Greater Green Island Community Playground

Through community consultation the Greater Green Island Committee have been made aware of the need for a playground for 0-6 year olds in the Green Island suburb. The DCC and RSA are excited about the project. Both organizations are supportive of the Green Island Memorial Gardens to be the site of a playground.
We currently have $99,805.70 from the amazing community fund-raising efforts and donations thus far from the following fantastic organisations:

History:
Community members have voiced that they would like a fenced playground with seating, a swing, a slide and some multi-play equipment.
Various designs for the multi-play equipment have been shown at community events, in Freshchoice and on Social Media where children and adults have voted for their favourite. As a result the above train design has been the most popular. With 1359 votes in total. 781 for the train vote in the picture above.
The train would be the main piece of equipment but there will also be a basket swing and two or three small pieces of equipment as well. The equipment will be as accessible to children of all abilities as much as possible.
The Greater Green Island Community Workers are busy filling in funding application forms and having meetings with the DCC in order to gain the $150,000 required to build the Greater Green Island Community Playground.
We now need your help. If all members of our community could pledge a few dollars towards the community playground and or start fund raising it would help us immensely. This will be your playground and if you contribute it proves to the funders how much the community wants this to happen. Any amount helps.
